Maytag Dryer Problems
Maytag is certainly a manufacturer that has been producing quality appliances for a very long time now but consumers have reported some problems specifically Maytag dryer problems. In fact so many that Maytag actually agreed to settle a class action lawsuit that affected more than 2 million homeowners who purchased the Maytag Neptune washer and dryer
The lawsuit may have been settled but the problems remain and consumers are still frustrated. After all they are still stuck with an appliance that is not reliable.
One of the major complaints has been the number of repairs. Apparently the problems are ongoing and repeat themselves. Control boards and motors are replaced only to pack it in shortly again and have to do it all over. And of course warranties run out and the consumer is left holding the bag.
And Maytag isn’t too keen about helping their customers out with these products that have proven to be lemons. No discounted parts and no discounted labor rates.
Sadly these washers and dryers weren’t low end. No infact they were some of the most expensive on the market and yet Maytag really dropped the ball. For a company that has built it’s reputation on quality products that have an excellent life expectancy this just wasn’t the case with the Neptune washer and dryer. And the really sad part is they weren’t overly interested in rectifying the problem in a timely manner.
And it’s not just one problem. It’s not just motors and boards. It’s seals that are leaking, mold and mildew developing due to improper seals, software container problems, leaking, improper drainage, rust, and the list goes on and on.
Quite simply the Neptune pair is junk! A quick search online and you can read what these two million consumers have to say about the Neptune washer and dryer.
One has to ask themselves if Maytag is sliding? If perhaps they aren’t the company they once where and perhaps they aren’t your best choice anymore? With the price of appliances you want to ensure that your money is going to get you the best value possible.
