Another aspect I find important to mention is customer service. I had an issue with my GE washer a few years after the warranty had run out. Not only did they come out and fix the issue, they didn't charge me for the problem either. I did pay for the part though. This is over three years after the warranty had run out mind you. Also, the customer support team treated me with dignity and respect from the first phone call. They didn't give me a date three weeks in advance. No, this awesome company was out within 24 hours to check on the issue and instantly fix the problem at a minimal charge to me.
When you think of a manufacturer as big as GE is, you think that something has to suffer. However, GE has proven - at least t o me - that there is nothing lacking. When I decide to purchase a new washer and dryer combo, I will definitely be choosing a GE. Nothing says family quite like the expertise and professionalism of the GE team from day one.
