Things To Consider When Buying Commercial Tumble Dryers

The difference between a home dryer and commercial dryer is really not that much. The commercial model is basically the larger more durable version of the home model. Here are some things to consider when buying commercial tumble dryers.

Your dryer choice can actually affect the appearance of your clothing and their life expectancy too. Now when you are buying commercially perhaps these things aren’t that important to you but they really should be.

After all if your clients clothing looks good and holds up they’ll continue to return to your Laundromat right? So when buying dryers for your Laundromat there are some features to consider. Many of them are relatively new and ever so innovative! Your customers will keep coming back if you offer them quality machines.

1. Capacity
When choosing size don’t rely on phrases such as “extra large” which can be interpreted differently. Instead look for the cubic foot measurement which will give you an accurate assessment. Choose an adequate size that coordinates with your washer choices.
2. Controls
There’s been great deal of sophistication enter the control front including digital displays, presets, and one touch selections. Yes even the commercial lines have had great improvements in the controls.
3. Cool Down
Cool down cycles are important to many fabrics. What occurs is the drum keeps tumbling without the heat to reduce the amount of wrinkling. Permanent press cycles generally have a cool down attached to them.
4. Drum Light
Isn’t it amazing how those socks can disappear right before your eyes. You put two in the dryer yet suddenly there is only one. Your customers will thank you if there is a light in the drum to help them find those elusive items of clothing.
5. Drying Rack
This is not a regular item in a commercial dryer but it is available. And your customers will find it very beneficial for those bulkier items or all those running shoes.
6. Energy Source
Almost all commercial dryers will operate on gas however there are always alternatives if gas isn’t available where you are. Gas however is the most cost effective so do consider that.
7. Lint Filters
Lint filters that are easy to access are much more convenient for your customers and for you since you’ll be checking them regularly.
8. Noise Levels
A room full of machines running can make a lot of racket so purchasing dryers that are quieter makes a lot of sense.
9. Temperature Settings
Your customers are going to want flexibility for the variety of fabrics their wardrobes hold. Offer as many options as your pocket book will allow. It’s good for business.
10. Moisture Sensors
New dryers use a moisture sensor that will stop the cycle if the humidity falls too low which ensures that over drying won’t occur.

When you decide to purchase those new commercial tumble dryers consider the above and you’ll have no problem making the right decision for you and your customer.
